Projects & Collaborations

I’m very interested in collaborating with other creative people – including artists, actors, directors, musicians, lighting technicians, sound engineers. For me, it’s exhilarating to ‘let go’ of the written text, and let other people respond to/interpret/develop/adapt it. I’ve co-adapted two Arts Council funded projects with the marvellous and talented writer and director, Mark Hewitt, at Lewes Live Literature.

The first was Weight (2010), an adaptation of three of the stories in my short story collection, The Biting Point (please see the Lewes Live Literature website for further details).

And in 2014, we created a Live Literature performance from my pamphlet-length supernatural poem The New Cockaigne (The Frogmore Press, 2014). It was showcased at the Lewes Arms as a ‘work in progress’ in November 2014. We are hoping to develop this project further.

I’m involved with a collaborative initiative, Ekphrasis – for writers interested in ‘writing from art.’ Please see the website for latest news and developments.

I’m also delighted to be Associate Editor for innovative new poets’ publishing collective, Telltale Press.
